What is Ortho Team University?

Ortho Team University is online, role-specific training for orthodontic practice teams. Instead of generic dental education, each course is built around a single role, such as Financial Coordinator or Treatment Coordinator, so your team learns exactly what their job requires, taught by practice management experts with 50+ years of combined orthodontic experience.

How long does a course take to complete?

Each course is self-paced over 90 days, broken into short 15–30 minute modules your team member can complete around patient care and daily responsibilities, with no need to travel or clear a full day for a seminar.

Is this only for new hires?

No. Courses work well for onboarding new team members, but they're just as valuable for cross-training existing staff or standardizing how your whole team handles a role, so everyone is working from the same playbook.

How does this course differ from other online course options?

Every course includes a Train the Trainer module built for the experienced team member overseeing a new hire. It provides a detailed day-by-day, week-by-week schedule of what to cover and when, along with guidance on training best practices such as adapting to different learning styles. The content itself is built from years of hands-on orthodontic practice experience and optimized through interviews with other industry experts, so your team isn't learning from a generic curriculum.

How is this different from information I could find online for free?

Generic information tells you how orthodontic billing or scheduling works in general. It doesn't know your doctor's treatment style or your practice's specific process. Ortho Team University is a hybrid of online learning and in-office application. Each module includes built-in checkpoints where the team member stops and interacts with their own practice, guided by leading questions that connect what they just learned to how your doctor and your office actually operate.
